Fewer GP surgeries now offer ear wax removal, but there's still a need to deal with impacted wax. Micro suction is the safest, quickest and most up-to-date method of removing impacted ear wax, available at all of our clinic locations and performed by fully qualified, BSHAA accredited specialists.
Before your appointment, please apply a wax-softening preparation such as olive oil drops or Earol once a day for three days beforehand.
After wax removal we offer a 15-minute free hearing screening as part of aftercare. If a potential hearing loss is identified, a full diagnostic assessment can be arranged. Video otoscopy, available at our Head Office clinic in Alresford, lets you see the anatomy of your ear canal and the wax removal process.
Patients must be at least 6 years old, and those aged 6–18 must be accompanied by an adult.
